Chess 1|1 Homework due and for week ending Oct 2 2022

The below are some recent games of me (Mr. Gary) you will find mistakes I am sure as these are all one (1) minute games I play.  The goal here is to allow you to touch pieces, see coordinates a bit stronger and allow the pieces to get moved around using coordinates, all while you will see some tactics to learn from by moving these pieces around on your own within this homework J

1. You need to get a real chess set and set up pieces correctly.  If you do not have a professional chess set with coordinates you know how to still then figure it out (you can write the letters and numbers alongside the board on paper or something or do it blind) … also if you do and or do not have a professional chess set … either way make sure you set up pieces correctly … meaning where does white go? On the first (1st) rank or eight (8th) rank? … You know the answer trust yourself J

2. Next you then play all these moves on the board until you get to last position.

3. Once you get to last position, take a picture of it and have it ready for class or can send early too either way (if you positioned and move the pieces correctly your final image/picture will be exactly how the game ended – to which I will match up with my records/games).

Game One | Gary is Black | White resigned

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 d6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Be3 Bg7 7. Qd2 Ne5 8.

O-O-O Nf6 9. f4 Neg4 10. Bg1 a5 11. h3 Nh6 12. g4 Bxg4 13. hxg4 Nhxg4 14. Be2 h5

15. Bxg4 Nxg4 16. f5 Bh6 0-1

Note: For those who I am teaching the English opening … notice the tactic at end … this is not by hope … this is by plan … I have successfully completed this tactic time and time again … so move slow, learn and enjoy it J
